SRC Student Council Service Project

The goal of student council is to teach these young leaders new ways to make a difference through combining their leadership talents with service.  Making a difference within the school and community is what the Shelby Rising City Student Council is all about.

The SRC Student Council is made up of 52 students in grades 6-12.  Our first meeting was held on August 22, 2019 and the group elected its leadership team.  Please take a moment to recognize and congratulate this year's SRC Student Council Leadership Team:

Co-Presidents: Kamryn Pokorney and Jayce Vrbka

Secretary: Reece Ingalls

Treasurer: Julia Augustin

We also made the decision to complete to complete our first service project of the year.  On Sunday evening, August 25, 2019, over half of the SRC Student Council members were able to lend a hand in cleaning up around Husky Stadium.  Members worked together to clean up trash, old tarp, move rocks, and pull weeds around the perimeter of the stadium in order to have it ready to go for the first home football game.

Thank you to all members for all of your hard work!  A special thank you to Kevin Siffring for lending a hand as well - your help is much appreciated.
