Parents of Shelby/Rising City Students,

Shelby/Rising City Public Schools is pleased to announce that the USDA has issued an extension of the Summer Food Service Program that will allow all of our students to receive free breakfast and lunch retroactively from our first day of school through the end of the first semester.  We will implement this change immediately so that all previous meals purchased by your child will be reimbursed back to their individual lunch accounts.

This funding is only for one breakfast and one lunch per day.  It does not include money for second lunch or milk purchases, ala carte items or elementary snack milk.  Those purchases will continue to be subtracted from your lunch account.

We will resume with the normal lunch protocols on January 6, unless the program is extended.  The school will not issue lunch balance refunds.

Please feel free to contact us at 402.527.5946 if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Doug Kluth, Superintendent

Shelby/Rising City Public Schools.
