March Recognition Rally

The March Husky Recognition Rally was held on Tuesday, March 30th. We celebrated a number of student accomplishments over the last month, which included recognizing our Winter Academic All-State recipients and our Staff FFA contestants. We also celebrated those students who were selected February Students of the Month and held our monthly PBiS drawing. It was another great rally that once again demonstrated the outstanding students we have.

Let’s meet our March Students of the Month!

6th Grade- Noah Thelen

This student was nominated for integrity and accountability. I can always count on him to be focused and engaged in class. He is a great example of a student leader by being positive in any situation, putting his best foot forward, and holding others accountable. I am always impressed by his ability to be positive no matter the circumstance. He truly holds himself to a high standard and it shows in his progress in the classroom. I can always count on him to volunteer during class and bring the mood up when everyone is feeling down. He truly is a great leader and I cannot wait to see him grow in the coming years.

7th Grade- Joseph Martinez

This student has demonstrated integrity, service, and accountability. He always brings a positive attitude into the classroom. He always has a positive, hard-working, and focused attitude. Whether it be telling a joke to the class, volunteering to participate in class, or simply showing respect for his peers, he sets a prime example of how students should behave in the classroom. I can always count on him to be the first one to raise his hand or to lighten up the mood in the classroom. He is funny, charismatic, but overall a fantastic young man. He always comes with a great attitude in class and I appreciate how he stepped up to serve as manager for the MS track team. He's always ready to do what is asked of him in the classroom as well as what he is asked to do for the track team. He has proven to be dependable and his easy demeanor makes him a joy to work with.

8th Grade- Isabelle Arguello

This student was nominated for integrity and accountability. She always comes to class in a cheerful and happy mood.  She works well with others and helps others when they have questions. She is great about making up missed work and staying on top of things when she has to be gone. She does what she is supposed to in class and participates in class discussion. You can tell she holds herself to a very high standard and always does what is right.

9th Grade- Leyton Voss

This student was nominated for service and accountability. He has been a strong performing student who holds himself accountable for class work and being prepared for assessments. He can explain the concepts to his peers and is finding new ways to solve problems which helps his peers too. Also, his work with Striv has been great! I appreciate his willingness to help out!

10th Grade- Jenna Logan

This student was nominated for accountability, service, and integrity. She has really stepped into her leadership position as a FFA Officer. She is more than willing to help out wherever and whenever needed. She is very reliable and knows that if she is going to be gone or late for any reason to let others know right away. In the classroom she is helpful with other students and is fun to have in class. She has displayed service in a variety of areas at S-RC; most recently, she has volunteered many hours to help referee youth basketball. She even came to help with 5 minutes notice! I appreciate her willingness to put in the time for girls who look up to her as a role model. She is a positive person who has also given her time in Student Council, especially with the blood drive in January. Thanks for offering your time to make S-RC a better place!

11th Grade- Trevor Hoegerl

This student was nominated for integrity, accountability, and service. He does a great job in Advisory. He uses his time effectively and participates well in all of our advisory activities and blitz days. He has always been such a hard worker and a respectful young man. He has always been a great leader and leads by example for other students. He is the type of person who just jumps into help wherever and whenever he is needed. He is constantly giving up his time to help others and you can always count on him to come through for you. You never have to ask him for his time and he never complains about the task at hand. He sets a wonderful example of service and accountability to his peers.

12th Grade- Avery Bazer

This student was nominated for integrity and accountability. She has held herself to higher standards this year as to turning her work in on time and if not, participates in ICU to be sure to get her work in at a timely manner. Her classwork is done with extreme integrity and holds herself to a high standard of accuracy. She has made great efforts to clean up and overcome the ICU list. We frequently have chats and she is holding herself accountable. I have her in several classes and she is striving to hold her work standards in the highest regard. She has had a great 2nd semester and is finishing her SRC career very strong!
