Book-It Elementary Fun Day

Lots of fun was had by the SRC elementary students on Wednesday, April 28th. Students who achieved their Book-It reading goals for at least 5/6 months enjoyed several Fun Day activities. National Guard soldiers from the York and Columbus armories provided fitness activities for students which included an inflatable game and sled races. Students also enjoyed seeing a National Guard truck and playing several fun games including toy car races, balloon pop toss, frog launching, ball toss, toilet paper toss, tic tac toe, corn hole, 4 in a row, and marble races. Sack lunches were provided by the SRC cooks and students had class picnics. We are very grateful for the help of the following soldiers: SSG Nick Christy, SFC Michael Eaton, SSG Joseph Pace, SGT Adam Greene, and SFC Chad Schroetlin. Some of our awesome Book-It volunteers also provided wonderful help with games including: Jen Vrbka, Rachel Siffring, Crystal Zimmerman, and Christa Ruth. Thanks to all of the families who supported their children with reading goals this year!
