Husky Logo

We had another great Husky Recognition Rally on Tuesday! We recognized many of our students and celebrated a number of accomplishments from the 1st semester and over the month of January. One of the major accomplishments we celebrated was our percentage of classes passed from the 1st semester. Our of 1,592 classes taken, our students passed 1,591, meaning 99.9% were passed. Outstanding work by our students and teachers! Mrs. Segner recognized some of the FFA students for their achievements at recent competitions. Mrs. Wilton recognized a number of Speech students as they have had a lot of success early in the season. We also had some of our middle school vocal students recognized for their recent success and accomplishments. Our 1st semester Roll of Excellence and Honor Roll students were announced. And as always, we announced our Students of the Month and held the monthly PBiS drawing. It is always great to celebrate so many of our student's accomplishments!

January Students of the Month

Meet our students of the month and the nominations from their teachers.

Aaron Willis- 6th Grade

This student is being nominated for Innovation and Accountability. He is regularly on top of school work and lessons.  He constantly looks for different ways to solve problems and new ways to get to the answer. He is a good student and classmate. He participates frequently in class discussions and is always engaged with the topic at hand. He's willing to assist those around him that need additional help and can be counted on to accomplish whatever task he is given.

Victory Graver-Tart- 7th Grade

This student has demonstrated the pillars of Innovation, Integrity, and Accountability. She has worked extremely hard at learning an instrument from scratch this year, knowing she's "behind" her peers by a couple of years but she is tenacious and is rising to the challenge. She is a hard worker in class and is always willing to speak up and share her ideas. She often sees things differently than others when reading texts, but is always able to go back into the text to support her ideas. This year, she reached out to school administration and suggested a middle school speech team, reporting that there was a high level of interest in middle school students. Due to her getting the ball rolling, we will have several 7th and 8th graders competing in speech this spring.

Traven Reznicek- 8th Grade

This student was nominated on the pillars of Integrity and Accountability. He is a quiet leader in the 8th grade class. If he misses class, he works hard to get caught up on what he missed. He will work well with others. He asks questions when he needs things clarified. He also quietly models to other students how they should behave in classes. He is always willing to help out and complete whatever is asked of him.

Clare Willis- 9th Grade

This student has consistently demonstrated the pillars of Integrity and Accountability. She has done a fabulous job of balancing school, basketball, and speech. She works diligently in the classroom to earn excellent grades. She is always willing to help out in advisory and uses her time well. She is always a friendly face in the hallway. She can be counted on to do the right thing. She is having an outstanding freshmen year and her future is very bright!

Ellie Frederick- 10th Grade

This student was nominated for the pillars of Integrity and Accountability. She works hard in class and isn't afraid to ask questions when she has them. She holds herself to a high standard and wants to do well in class. She participates in group work and does really well in class. She is one of the hardest-working students in the school.  She puts forth her best effort in the classroom and in her extracurriculars. She was this way during one-act, too. Even when she is absent, she makes sure that she keeps on top of her responsibilities both in and out of the classroom.

Kadin Bluel-11th Grade

This student was nominated for the pillars of Integrity and Accountability. He is off to a tremendous start this semester. He has been very focused in class in learning the material and his results have been great so far. I always enjoy having him in class because I know he will bring a positive presence and give his honest feedback to me about how he's feeling about the content. He has been great to have in class. He consistently demonstrates respect and integrity both in behavior and in the work he turns in. He is kind to others and turns his work in promptly and with integrity.

Emily Augustin- 12th Grade

This student has consistently demonstrated the pillars of Integrity and Accountability. She always puts forth her best effort in the classroom and holds herself to a high standard. She is always polite and respectful, which is always appreciated. She has shown great accountability in these last couple of weeks in her handling of being absent. She was in constant communication while she was gone and had done everything asked of her for me during her absence.
