The December Husky Recognition Rally was held on Friday, December 17th. The rally was a great way to cap off the 1st semester and students were encouraged to finish the semester strong! Our Student Council also surprised each teacher with a stocking stuffer. We really appreciate everything our teachers do for our students!

The December Students of the Month were announced and recognized during the rally. Teachers and staff members nominated students who best demonstrate any of the 4 SRC pillars- Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, or Service. These students received a certificate, a SOM t-shirt, and Lunch on the Principal. Congratulations to each of these students for demonstrating what it means to be a Husky!

The monthly PBiS drawing was also held during the rally. We had a total of 122 Positive Paws given out this past month. The middle school students received the most with 112. Middle school students received a gift card to Cubby’s. The high school winners earned a BARK Park spot for the month of January. Congratulations to all the students who are doing great things inside and outside of the classroom!

December Students of the Month

Meet our students of the month and the nominations each student received.

He was a high school football manager and is now a high school basketball manager. He has shown his willingness to help out in multiple ways. Even though he is busy with activities after school, he is still a very strong student in the classroom and stays on top of his school work. Overall, he has been a great student this year. He's always prepared and participates at a high rate in class. He is certainly developing into a great class leader for the 6th grade.

10th Grade- Lillian Wetjen

This student is being nominated for demonstrating the pillars of Integrity, Accountability, and Service. She has been a joy to have in advisory and in class. I have really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know her over the last few years. She is always willing to help her classmates if they don't understand something or if they need some clarification and I'm helping someone else.  She has even stepped into a role of mentoring a younger student and has really grasped that opportunity to build a relationship with her.  She works hard at everything she does and shows integrity while doing so.

She is conscientious about completing her classwork and participating in-class activities. She is always a friendly face in the hallways, always saying hi. He has worked very hard in his classes in order to be able to graduate at the end of the semester. During advisory, he has been willing to collaborate and contribute during our team activities. We are so proud of him to be able to graduate at semester. He will certainly be missed in our advisory. He has held his grades high to finish strong.
