Congratulations to the following musicians on being selected for the CRC Honor Band and Choir! They will proudly represent S-RC at the CRC Honors Concert on March 23rd at Nebraska Lutheran.
Special mention to Nevaeh Martinez and Aaron Willis who earned first chair in the entire conference on their instrument/voice and receiving medals for their outstanding achievement. Kasey Fischbach is also a medal winner for choir-bass, and Urijah Grant has been selected to participate in both band and choir!
We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work. Congratulations! 🎶

Dear SRC Patrons,
Shelby-Rising City Public Schools is currently experiencing a significant surge in illness. As of today, we had 113 students absent, representing 28.75% of our student population.
Based on the recovery time we are seeing, this illness typically requires several days to a full week to resolve. To prioritize the health of our students and staff, SRC Schools will be CLOSED this Wednesday (2/11/26) and Thursday (2/12/26). We will use this time to thoroughly disinfect all classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Schedule of Events
Tuesday (Tonight):
--- ON: Senior Night, Boys Basketball, and Dance/Cheer performances starting at 5:45 PM.
Wednesday:
--- CANCELED: Health & Science Field Trip (Kearney).
--- POSTPONED: NDE External Review (New date TBD).
Thursday:
--- ON: Wesleyan Honor Band (for students who are currently healthy).
--- CANCELED: Girls Basketball vs. East Butler.
--- POSTPONED: Valentine Program at the Senior Center.
Friday:
--- TBD: A decision regarding the basketball games @ Osceola will be made by noon on Friday.
--- ON: District Wrestling @ 2pm (no extensions available per NSAA).
Saturday:
--- ON: District Wrestling @ 9am.
--- ON: Speech Meet (for healthy students).
Important Note for Youth Coaches:
--- All district facilities are closed for practices through Thursday to allow our custodial team to sanitize the buildings. We apologize for the inconvenience.

--- Coaches/Sponsors will be in touch with you for any announcements or walk-through information.
A Message to Our Families:
