With us hosting two district events & the amount of people that will be coming in & out of our school, we have made the following changes to our calendar:
- February 13th (Friday) is District Wrestling = NO SCHOOL
- March 20th (Friday) is District Speech = NO SCHOOL
After careful review, we believe this is best for giving our best to each event as well as keeping our students safe with the amount of vehicle and foot traffic these events will create.

🎶Our High School Choir students had a great time attending the 80th Annual Boone Central Choral Clinic on Monday, January 12. Music selections were Connected, The Pasture, River in Judea, Love is Love is Love is Love, and Battle Hymn of the Republic. The clinic had over 200 students this year and was directed by Dr. Adam Zrust.
It was a great day making music! 🎶

In champs informative finals, Paxton Cromer placed 6th!
In champs persuasive finals, Garrett Ruth placed 3rd!
In champs entertainment, Brooklyn Sumner placed 6th and Kreyten Zimmerman placed 5th!
In honors extemporaneous finals, Kenny Pearson placed 5th (11th overall), Hayden Reznicek placed 2nd (8th), and Jessica Bauers placed 1st (7th)!
In champs humorous prose finals, Urijah Grant placed 4th!
In merit serious prose finals, Garrett Ruth placed 6th (18th overall) and Charlotte Slusarski placed 5th (17th). In honors serious prose finals, Nevaeh Martinez placed 4th (10th). In champs serious prose finals, Urijah Grant was the meet champion!

In OID champs finals, "Bible Camp" (Urijah Grant, Ashlyn Long, Garrett Ruth, & Charlotte Slusarski) placed 4th and "The Holy Grail" (Kasey Fischbach, Hayden Reznicek, Charlie Thompson, & Kreyten Zimmerman) placed 3rd!
Overall, your SRC Speech Team placed 3rd (of 14) at Twin River, the opening meet of the year!!
