The Huskies volleyball team gets the win tonight in McCool Junction 3-0 (25-6, 25-10, 25-11). Great job ladies. The Huskies are now 20-3 on the year!

The Blue River Panthers season comes to an end, losing to Adams Central 14-9 in the district semifinals game tonight. The Panthers end the year with an impressive 18-5 record and the ladies have plenty to be proud of from the work they put into the season. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a great season and thank you to all the seniors for your excellent leadership over the course of the season.

Here is the bracket for the CRC Volleyball Tournament starting on October 17th! The Huskies are the #1 Seed.

Carter Eickmeir and Kierslyn Cattau have been named Polk County Athletes of the Week!!

Shelby-RC senior Carter Eickmeier put the No. 3 Huskies on his back Friday night in the huge District match-up with No. 4 Lourdes Central Catholic. The senior ran for 287 yards and five scores. Eickmeier also completed a 29-yard pass and he had nine tackles as the Huskies topped the Knights 44-22.

Shelby-RC freshman Kierslyn Cattau is in the process of rewriting the record books at SRC. Last week in two games she hammered 29 kills against Raymond Central and 24 against Wilber Clatonia. She also added 33 digs and four ace serves as she now had 252 kills for the season.

⛳️ Girls District Golf Results @ Oakland Country Club C. Slusarski - 118 (61/57) K. Hamling - 121 (61/60) M. Frandsen - 140 (67/73) The Huskies wrapped up their season today at Districts. While we didn’t come away with a state qualifier, the girls battled hard from start to finish. After going two weeks without a tournament, there was a little rust to shake off. Overall, the girls played some solid golf, but each had 3–4 holes that got away from them—and in golf, those few holes can make a big difference on the final scorecard. This season was about growth. We started the year with an inexperienced varsity group and they made leaps in our short season from August to early October. There were personal bests, lessons learned, confidence gained, and plenty of laughs along the way. The scorecard doesn’t always show how far you’ve come, and this group has a lot to be proud of. Coach Jensen and Coach Recker are thankful for the effort they gave us this season and are excited about what we can build on from here. That’s a wrap on the 2026 season! 💙💛⛳️ Grow • Believe • Compete.

🎶 2026 NECC Hawkfest Honor Band & Choir! 🎶 Congratulations to Urijah Grant, Paxton Cromer, Dylan de la Rosa Armas, and Cora Kooyman on being selected for the NECC Hawkfest Honor Band and Choir! They spent the day at Northeast Community College making music and concluded with a great concert featuring several patriotic selections and traditional folk songs. Way to represent! 🎶

The Huskies go into Centennial and take care of business, first winning 2-0 (25-20, 25-22) over Nebraska Christian and then winning 2-0 (25-22, 25-7) over Centennial. Great work, ladies!
