PreK-2nd Grade Winter Concert - 7 pm (West Gym)
The SRC FFA Chapter has left over fruit from their annual Fruit Sales. There are 6 Boxes of Clementines, 2 Boxes of Red Delicious Apples, 1 Box of Braeburn Apples, 1/2 Box of Granny Smith Apples, 14 individual Grapefruit, and a Box of 5 Avocados. Middle School Quiz Bowl scheduled for Saturday, December 14th @ Columbus has been postponed. A date has not been announced.

Today 17 FFA members attended District 2 LDEs in Humphrey. There were students competing in multiple contests from 15 schools. The Parliamentary Procedure team of Grant O., Grant G., Grant L., Tori P., Carson R., and Taylor S. received a Blue. Aurora S. received a Blue in Junior Public Speaking with her speech about Potatoes. Emily W. received a Purple in Job Interview. In Senior Public Speaking Tori P. with her speech titled “Be Neat, Eat Meat”, received a Purple and 1st place, she will be representing our chapter at State Convention in April! In Middle School Events, Aubree S. received a purple and 3rd in Ag Literacy Speaking with her speech about Farm to Fork, and the Quiz Bowl Team of Isabelle A., Kaylei P., Aubree S., and Aiden Z. was 3rd and will be able to compete at state in April as well! Congratulations to all our members!
The start time for the varsity wrestling triangular at Cross County on Tuesday, Dec. 10 is 3 pm. Shelby-RC will have their first dual at approximately 4 pm after the first dual is complete.
The reserve boys basketball game scheduled for tonight (Dec. 9) at Fullerton has been cancelled due to injuries and numbers. (Girls was already cancelled).

Our high school ELL (English Language Learners) have been working hard all semester to learn important financial concepts. Most recently they have been learning how loans work, what it takes to have great credit, and why it is important. Their eagerness to learn is so enjoyable!

Basketball Change: The JV girls basketball game tonight vs. Cross County has been changed to 3 quarters. Due to this change, the Girls JV will play in the west gym, and the boys JV will play in the south gym. No change in game times.
