After surveying the roads, talking with our bus drivers, and communicating with Polk county schools; we are moving forward with having school today.
Please make sure your child has proper clothing for the walk from vehicle to school. Doors will open at 9:45am.
Reminder: we will start our morning with a Pep Rally at 10:15am in the South Gym to wish luck to our Girls and Boys wrestling teams as well as our Dance/Cheer teams. All MS/HS students, check in to 1st period.

SRC will have a two hour late start tomorrow (2/18) to give road crews the opportunity to clear country roads.
There is no morning PK or breakfast. Buses will run accordingly. Doors will open at 9:45am.
Pep Rally is still a go for 10:15am in the South Gym.

We will continue to monitor the weather throughout the evening & this week. If our buses are good to go & our heaters are keeping up in the building; we will plan on regular starts (8:10am) throughout the week. Please tell your children to have a coat, hat, & dress for cold temperatures.
If we are to postpone the start of school, a decision will be made by 5:30am.

Our FFA is sponsoring a free will donation pancake feed at the Legion in Shelby between 10am and 12pm today!
If you are able to brave the cold, our students would love to see and serve you!

National FFA week has been postponed a week! It will now take place February 24-28!
