Good morning,
No need to try & fight off the inevitable. Models show that we may be the lucky ones with a 6-8" band of snow coming through this evening. Heaviest snow will be hitting around 4pm.
With that information, we will have an EARLY OUT today (1:15pm/1:25pm) for our students & staff. ESU 7 will have NO SCHOOL.
Dance/Cheer Walk of Fame will be at 12pm with doors opening at 11:45am for those wanting to attend! They will have a send off at 10am tomorrow when leaving the school but if that changes, we will let you know.

Nebraska weather certainly keeps us on our toes—going from nearly 60°F to freezing temperatures and snow in less than 24 hours.
Due to projected snow timing and high winds (30-40 MPH) expected in the early afternoon, we are monitoring conditions for a POTENTIAL early dismissal. Please have a plan in place for your child(ren) in the event that we must close early due to deteriorating visibility and road conditions.
When will the decision be made?
I am in close contact with the National Weather Service in Hastings. Their comprehensive morning data is released around 9:00 AM. I expect to send a final update via phone, text, and email no later than 9:30 AM.
Our Walk of Fame for our Dance/Cheer team would be moved up to 12pm if an early out is decided.
I appreciate your flexibility as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Genesis House is preparing for another Polk County Ignite event on Saturday, March 14th in Osceola from 10:30-12:30 at the auditorium.
This event is part career fair, part inspiration and part fun for girls in grades 6-12. Four Corners Health Department will lead a mental health discussion, a self defense demonstration, and some digital safety information.
