SRC students in Grades 6-12:
If you are interested in participating in this year's spring play, you MUST respond to the Google Form in your email before noon on Sunday, March 23. See you at the read through Monday morning!

The SRC Travel Abroad 2028 sign-up meeting is POSTPONED to Monday, March 31st, at 6 p.m. Thank you!

Good afternoon,
Due to the number of staff members being unable to make it out of their houses, whether that is because of no power or roads being impassable, Shelby-Rising City Public Schools will NOT be having school tomorrow (3/21).
This is a difficult decision but we want to make sure we can have our staff and students arrive safely. We will reassess country roads for bus travel come Sunday evening and let you know if we will have normal or alternate routes.
To all of our MS Band students, Malcom is still struggling with power and the unknown of travel conditions, we are making the early decision to NOT participate tomorrow. I do apologize.
Varsity track is still a go as long as our athletes and coaches can make it by the time we leave around 2:30pm. Coach Waite will reach out for a head count.
Speech can still have afternoon practice as long as students and coaches can make it safely. Coaches will be in contact.
If you have any questions, please contact me at ttejkl@shelby.esu7.org.
Thank you again for your grace and flexibility.

March 21, or 3-21, is a symbolic date to celebrate people with Down Syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world. The date, 3-21 represents Trisomy 21, the medical term for Down Syndrome, which is the third replication of the 21st chromosome.
As part of the celebration around the world, people are encouraged to wear fun socks. The fun sock initiative was formed to get people talking and asking questions about Down Syndrome. The idea is to wear brightly colored, mismatched, long, printed socks—or even layer three socks, one for each chromosome. Why socks you ask? The socks resemble chromosomes, and who doesn’t love a pair of fun socks!?
What: Wear fun socks
When: Friday March 21, 2025
Why: To spread Down Syndrome acceptance and inclusion
Hosted by: Shelby Rising City Circle of Friends Group

Good luck to our HS track team on Friday at Concordia! Schedule of events posted below.

🚨 🚫 NO SCHOOL ALERT🚫🚨
Due to snow accumulation, drifting of snow, freezing over night, and lack of power that affected us throughout the entire day; SRC will have NO SCHOOL for Thursday, March 20th.
I want to make sure that our building is back in operational form with proper heat, our buses are able to leave the bus barn, and that all staff/students are able to make it safely to school.
Coaches/Sponsors will be in contact with our spring activities because if roads and our building is good to go by 3:45pm, we will have normal volunteer practice times. If you have any questions, please let me (Mr. Tejkl) know (ttejkl@shelby.esu7.org).

Thanks to ALL dodgeball participants! The HS division Champions are the SENIORS! The MS division Champions are the 8th graders!

❄️ 🚫 No School Tomorrow🚫❄️
Due to predicted blizzard conditions, Shelby-Rising City Public Schools will have NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday (3/19).
The NWS is predicting dangerous or impossible driving conditions so please stay off the roads if possible.
